My name is Toya or RJ, depending on who you ask.
I'm a 30 year old furry chef who lives in Central New York, but I was born and raised in Buffalo, NY. Go Bills, Pats suck.
I've been in the furry fandom for around 13 years, but that's not what you're here for.
I've been comfortable in the kitchen since I was 12 years old. My mother would work late and had to drive home through rush hour traffic and my father, while he worked from home, was usually too busy when I got home from school to do any real cooking. I started small with microwaved mac and cheese and ramen noodles, but I always wanted to go further and do more to make the basic things I made into something more than what they were just out of the box. That drive to improve never really stopped, and so, here we are.
I've been a prep chef, a line cook, a barista, and a waiter, but most of my passion comes from home cooking. I love buying and growing my own ingredients, buying local when I can, and put a lot of emphasis on presentation. Good food should look good too!
